Cognitive psychology
SO TRUE!!!
“The study of reproducible errors of human reasoning, and what these errors reveal about underlying mental processes, is known as the heuristics and biases program in cognitive psychology. This program has made discoveries highly relevant to assessors of global catastrophic risks. Eliezer Yudkowsky, who writes on the subject of cognitive biases at Overcoming Bias, presented at the Global Catastrophic Risks conference in Mountain View on the subject of cognitive biases in the assessment of risk.”
*cry* i love you bb, i want you , i'll lve you for the rest of my life, you sang it in your song, remember? "love song"
I have suffered from severe panic attacks for year. A book written by Dr. Clair Weeks called Hope and Help for Your Nerves is an excellent book. It really helped me a lot. Therapy and SRRIs work wonders also. I have learned to beat it. I finally convinced myself that the worst that was going to happen was just a panic attack and nothing else. I used to think I was going to die and would not leave my house. I can now go just about anywhere and do really good. You will not die and please read the book it is WONDERFUL. Good Luck.
Very fun. Had me thinking about how magnetic repulsion _still_ feels strange to me, and I think that’s what the interviewer was getting at. I just tried it out again with refrigerator magnets and my brain very much seems to over-interpret the repulsion. I am drawn to imagine that there is some material between the magnets when they’re repelling. And actually, it’s very similar when feeling the attraction at close distance too. I think the fun question here is in cognitive psychology, and that’s probably what the interviewer was driving at?
It has been a rewarding journey. We’ve learned so much about what the local church is doing and about publishing — it’s great. Of course, that doesn’t mean my hair doesn’t start to fall out as each two-month deadline approaches.
great great great song! : D
Don't bother even starting with biology unless you plan to go into higher courses later on. Even if you were taking a course specifically about animal or human biology, only a small section would be on the nervous system and the brain. At the lowest level, you may not learn about it at all. Unless you want to know about the basic function of a nerve before taking a biopsych course (or if you plan to stick with it until you can take a real neurobiology course), you shouldn't waste your time.
So wasting time on youtube is better spent eh?
Oh yeah. Been there, done that. I hate it when people don’t pull their weight
fyi twitter and the rest of the world do not need to be informed of your personal life #creeps
According to my own monitoring, thousands of people in the world receive the home loans at different banks. Thence, there’s great possibilities to receive a bank loan in all countries.
Great article. I do have one question that I’d love to get your advice on though pertaining to the topic. How do you find tweeps who are more on your level of popularity?
For instance, many of the people I follow are business men or tech writers, or even celebrities. While I find their tweets interesting and do try to interact with them, these are not always the best people to build these “meaningful relationships” with.
So how do I find the “smaller” or less popular people on twitter who are interested in the same topics I am and, more importantly, willing to build the same meaningful relationship with me? Thank you for sharing
